| The Saltmine Gallery Space.
The Saltmine is the studio and gallery space of painter Marc Bohne. It is located just north of Lake City, a Seattle, Washington neighborhood in an old de-comissioned public elementary school. The Cedar Park Elementary School building was leased and renamed by the artist-tenants "Artwood Studios", and has been successfully run artist space for over twenty years. The Saltmine is one of many studios in the building, housing aritsts of many types, including photographers, musicians, jewlers, sculptors, and painters. The Saltmine came about after a decision was made to self- represent in Seattle which meant meeting the needs and inquiries of local clients and collectors with a private professional showroom adjacent to the studio itself. The Saltmine is a by-appointment showroom for special events and collectors, and the pricing is retail and will not undercut other galleries across the country who represent Mr. Bohne. The Saltmine has occasionally been available for small private showings by other artists. The Saltmine has a selection of posters and prints available for sale, including some that are framed. Most can be purchased online here. Also, the catalogues for the last two shows in New Mexico can be acquired here. You can contact the Saltmine at any time at 206-755-3966 and leave a message, or you can email. |
