Marc Bohne was born 1955 in El Paso, Texas. He lived in West Texas until he left for college where he received his BFA in painting in 1977 from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri.
In 1994 Marc rented studio space in a defunct school building in Seattle, Washington and has been painting professionally since. Marc's landscapes are now in collections from Paris to Los Angeles, with some of America's more prominent citizens on his collector list, and he is represented by fine galleries, agents, patrons, and consultants in many parts of the U.S.
Marc includes among his major influences painters and writers, including Kent Lovelace, Andrew and N.C. Wyeth, Frances Bacon, Russell Chatham, Mort Drucker, Annie Dillard, Sharon Olds, Gordon Lightfoot, and Nathan Olivera, among others.
Marc currently lives in Harwich, Massachusetts.
